My name is Jennifer and I am a Master of Architecture + Master of Real Estate Development candidate at the University of Maryland. I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. I received my Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2015. I spent 9 months in Barcelona, Spain between 2014 and 2015 with the Illinois School of Architecture Study Abroad program, traveling to 11 different countries to sketch and analyze the European perspective of space making. I have a passion for finding creative solutions to repurposing existing structures along with design on an urban scale and regenerative landscapes. I look forward to obtaining my licensure so I can bring innovative solutions to design problems plaguing America’s modern cities.
When I am not out exploring the world through my sketchbook or toiling away in the studio, you can usually find me behind a good book (nonfiction is my favorite), attending a music festival or concert ("Music is literally, like, the air I breathe," - Father John Misty), in the kitchen cooking up some delicious delectables, or plucking away on my guitar. After I finish my graduate studies at Maryland, I plan on stumbling out into the professional realm of architecture to become a big-girl Architect.
